Opened during the first week of July 2009 by Justin & Jenny Green of Ballyvolane House, O'Brien Chop House is an unpretentious eatery that offers diners traditional and robust Irish recipes in a wonderfully atmospheric old Victorian pub. All ingredients are sourced locally and served simply at very affordable prices.

O'Brien is the original name of the premises, imprinted above the main window and the term 'Chop House' has been borrowed from London's old chop houses where you could sample a variety of chops, cutlets and steaks on the bone. At O'Brien Chop House, we always have an assortment of chops, cutlets, steaks and pies on the menu. Seafood dishes also feature including seasonal oysters and whole fish cooked on the bone.

The Summerhouse is an exciting, affordable luxury lifestyle store which introduces many new and exclusive brands to Ireland and offers a new home to existing well known Irish products and crafts for both the contemporary and traditional lifestyles. We don't like big factory processing plants so we make our own produce fresh so we can sell it fresh. It's the old fashioned way, but it works. As well as being fanatical about taste, we ensure our food is free from the endless additives that plague modern food. Our fresh food is produced without fuss and particular attention is paid to the quality of the ingredients. Open all day, the Café is an ideal location for a cup of coffee or a delicious lunch. At the Summerhouse we serve only Java Republic freshly ground coffee and pastries freshly baked in our very own bakery.
