The Lismore Film Society was started in January 2007 to offer the community a social outlet on long winters evenings. Arthouse and other non-mainstream films are the focus of the viewings which take place in and are facilitated by Lismore Heritage Centre. There are 2 viewing sessions a year, the first running from January to April and the second from September to December. Whilst in session, screenings occur every 3 weeks. Anyone can join provided they are over 18 and purchase a session membership, which covers admission to all films. Members may bring guests.

The Lismore Film Society is a non-profit making group.
