The Ballyrafter Centre, established 26 years ago as a multipurpose centre, serving the South-East of Ireland. The Centre features a main Indoor Arena measuring 16,000 square feet. The largest open span building in County Waterford.
Located at the Heritage Town of Lismore, just off the key tourist route, the N72 from Rosslare to Killarney, makes The Ballyrafter Centre, one of the most attractive multi-purpose Facilities in Ireland.
From the Centre's function as one of the top Showjumping Centre's in the country, we boast a large proven catchment area of over 80 miles. Ensuring easy access to the key cities of Waterford, Cork, Kilkenny, Limerick, Clonmel and Carlow. Almost half the country is within easy reach of Ballyrafter.
The major ports of Rosslare and Ringaskiddy are within striking distance and the International Airports of Cork, Shannon and Waterford are all within 90 minuits drive.
The complex doubles as an exhibition centre, home of the Ballyrafter International Flower Fair held in the first week of December each year. The Centre will in the future pursue this dual role, extending its parameters to encompass exhibitions, concerts and tourism activities within the South-East of Ireland.
Tourism activities to date include 'The Irish Horse Experience'. A live equestrian show, telling the story of the Irish Horse from its origins in Celtic times, to the modern sport horse, of world acclaim. The only equestrian show of its kind in the country. Showjumping is held throughout the year in both the Indoor Arena and the Outdoor All-Weather Show Arena.
